My name is Frank V. Schott; I have been farming since 1984 and currently have a small
vineyard located on Davenport Creek Road. I am going to remodel my home as I am interested
in staying in this location for many years. I have been following the progress of Avila Ranch and
I must say that I am impressed with how the applicant is addressing traffic issues related to
Buckley Road. I believe once Buckley connects to Higuera and the traffic to the 101 can be
directed to South Higuera, traffic flow will improve significantly. I understand the Vachell and
Higuera intersection will end up being right in and right out once Buckley Road is extended to
Higuera. These improvements will have long term benefits to all of us living on Buckley and
Davenport Creek Road. I want to let you know some of my neighbors are opposed to this
neighborhood, however, I think this opposition is short sighted and not in the best interest of
creating connectivity to help alleviate congestion at certain times of the day. I'm a firm believer
of property rights and that homes being planned will have benefits for young families. I'm tired
of people wanting to say "no", I think we should say "Yes".
