My name is John Webber, and I'm a 28 -year-old young professional that lives and works in San Luis Obispo. I went to Cal Poly
and have been a part of the SLO community for about 10 years. I love living here, but have seen housing prices rise way out of
my level of affordability. I currently have to rent a house with 3 other young professionals, as even rental prices have
skyrocketed. I would love to be able to afford a home, but with the current housing situation, I realize I will have to buy a home
outside of the San Luis Obispo area.
I fully support the approval of the Avila Ranch project. I think this a great step in the right direction towards solving our severe
housing shortage issue.
