To Members of the Cultural Heritage Committee,
We are writing to you on behalf of Gene and Sally Kruger, owners of the property at 1171 Pismo
Street.
As thirteen year residents of a highly regarded neighborhood community, we are take great pride
in the fact that our neighbors value their historic properties and strive to keep them well
maintained and attractive.
We are most grateful to see a neglected rental property upgraded into an owner occupied
residence in our local neighborhood. We have reviewed their plans and appreciate that Gene and
Sally will make considerable investments in their property while insuring the preservation of the
historical character of our neighborhood. They have also managed to restrict their larger
development to the rear alley, as their fellow neighbors have done.
We also commend the Krugers for protection of the rental cottage and allowing a 20 year
resident to remain in her home without disruption.
We plan to appear at your hearing to show our support for the project at 1171 Pismo Street as
presented and as proposed by the owners, Gene and Sally Kruger.
Thank you for your consideration and preservation of our beautiful neighborhood.
