Re: open space Cerro San Luis
I urge the city council to support extending hours for open space use at Cerro San Luis. The vast majority of trail users
are responsible. Enjoying open space, like Cerro SL, is why we chose to live in SLO. The dusk (or one hour post) closure
denies many users from hiking, biking, etc. after work.
I understand environmental effects are likely being considered, as they should be. I also know there are environmental
advocates and experts in our community that do not believe night use will have a negative impact on wild-life. I urge
the city to seek out multiple view-points on this.
