Dear Members of Parks and Recreation Commission,
I live in the North Broad Street area and for years have been promised a north Broad Street park by the city.
Last year the city finally set aside $900,000 to achieve that long awaited goal.
In June, the Parks and Rec director raided that fund by $160,000 which left us with $740,000 set aside for the park.
Please keep this money allocated for a park in the 2020 Parks and Recreation plan and continue to try and identity a
property to build the sorely needed park for this area.
If this park is not in the plan, it will never happen. We need advisory committees that are responsive to the needs of our
community. PLEASE help.
