Dear Parks and Recreation Commission,
Thank you for the work you are doing to meet the recreational needs of our city. I recognize the process is difficult and
there are many demands.
I appreciate the continued efforts to make progress on establishing a neighborhood park in the North Broad area of San
Luis Obispo and that this active goal is included in the draft of the 2020 Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan.
Since there is current work being done to meet this goal, I think it would be helpful if the Director of Parks and
Recreation, Shelly Stanwyck, would outline what actions have been and will be taken in regards to acquiring property for
a park.
