I wanted to address the "unmet need" of a park for the North Broad Street Neighborhood. As you might be aware the number of units being built is multiplying and no talk of a park seems to be seen. Lots of talk about bike boulevards and future recreational needs, but no park. This park has been on the books for so many years. The funding has come and gone and come again. So many children, students and elderly that could benefit from a park. Could we please make it a priority? Please keep our park funds intact and while all the studies are being done include us in the equation. The new Sinshimer Park is quite impressive. Must have cost a lot of money. Could we just have a simple park? Some trees for shade and for the birds. One last thing. Someone should keep an eye on the proposed development at Marsh and Nipomo. From the plans I have seen it would have a big impact on the Historic Jack House. If you have not checked it out, you should. The new plans, ideas and future for SLO is impressive but so is our history. Help preserve a bit of it. It would be nice to still see the hills. Thanks, Connie Bruton Thank you, Sent from my iPad 1
