Dear Mayor and Council Members,
Some bikeists claim falsely that opponents of the dreadful "preferred alternative" offer no alternatives. You know that's
untrue.
Last time you looked at the Broad/Chorro bike fiasco, I submitted what I called a 1-2-3 plan, the essence of simplicity,
which would have been a win-win for cyclists and residents. You chose to ignore it.
So I'm submitting a modified expansion of the 1-2-3 plan which I call the 1-2-3-4 plan. It even has a pretty picture in it this
time, so please take a serious look.
This is the sort of plan you should be adopting, not the dreadful, unsafe, disruptive thing the organized bike lobby has
pushed onto your desk. In the interests of civic peace, fairness, and progressivism, please make something like this
course the way ahead. Make this a win-win, not a lose-lose.
