o
Mr. Bell, as per your instruction I am sending email, as I cannot attend the meeting. As I was telling you I highly object to
this project for a myriad of reasons. This project is slated for over 600 residential units, of which I heard they were going
to be for college students.. This would change the whole structure of our neighborhood. The two main reasons being
traffic and noise levels. Your talking about at least 1200 more cars on Laurel Lane, which is already a very busy street
and that is a low estimate because people would come to visit these people so I would expect even more vehicles. Also,
the noise levels would be higher with traffic and just the group of people who have their car stereos at a higher level. Not
to mention parties and such that would or could make this an unbelievable nightmare for us that want just a nice quiet
life. Over the 25 years I have lived here, the worst neighbors I have had were college students. I just don't think
integrating that many students into this neighborhood with families is right for this neighborhood. I say, enjoy college but
not at the expense of the rest of us. Maybe looking in an area close to Cal Poly would be a better fit. Also, I'm sure you
already know that they are building another section of houses on Orcutt, which is probably going to increase traffic
somewhat on Laurel Lane. Please consider what is being said. I thank you for you time. Thank you, Pamela Pate
