Subject: Los Padres Inn Project
Great afternoon Ms. Cohen!
I would like to submit my input with yet another project that is robing San Luis Obispo of its
majestic charm. For those of us who have moved here to escape from the daily grind of cities around the
globe. We found this great place that brought all those things we tried to escape. For those who are native
they know the priceless gem that the S.L.O. life brings. Those of us that have made it to this haven know oh
too well that we must work a little harder not only to make ends meet here but to also create and maintain
the charm of this town.
With the project that you will authorize, you rob all the local people of what we all moved here
for. In turn you bring more people to our sanctuary create more congestion on our streets without the civic
engineering to support more cars or parking spaces for visitors. All for profit? At what point do you realize
that profit does not outweigh charm or quietness or serenity?

Have you ever gotten home from a long day at the office and not found parking in front of your
house? Its a challenge that I'm faced with every afternoon! I'm a resident on Grove street I have a lovely view
of Cerro San Luis and the monstratsity of a building that you want to build would void that. I deal with the
increased enrollment at Cal Poly and more veichles in the neighborhood. Your project will only increase the
chaos. Please be considerate of the neighbors and the charm that the neighboorhod has.
Greeatly appreciate your attention to this matter.
Kind regards,
Manuel O. Rios
