I want to thank you for steering everyone in the right direction, and for giving strong consideration to the concerns of the neighbors. How I wish that every meeting turned out like this! Of course, it helped to be dealing with decent motel owners, who were not out there just to make as much money as possible on the back of other people. These are good neighbors, and I am grateful there are some among developers. I could not help wondering why you did not apply the same rules to 22 Chorro and to Reid, its greedy developer, and I hope you drive by this building once in a while to see the result. With its four stories towering next to small houses, and $5,200 a month for two-bedroom apartments, + $150 a month to park a car, and barely any room to even walk around the building, this has to be the most outrageous thing this city has ever built. I hope it is forever pointed as the disaster to never repeat. After last night, I realized that better decisions can be made when everyone cooperates, and I also hope you handle the next Reid project on Foothill the way you did last night. Again, thank you for such a positive and successful meeting. Sincerely, Odile Ayral San Luis Obispo 1
