ARC Commissioners,
I will be unable to attend tomorrow's meeting due to a prior commitment. However, I am writing in full support
of this project and encourage your approval.
I've spoken in support of this project at prior hearings and feel that the adjustments to the plans from the
previous ARC hearing represent improvements that were suggested by your commission.
As one of the original authors of the Downtown Concept Plan and a member of the Creative Vision Team for its
recent update, I believe that this project certainly meets the goals of that vision. It further complies with existing
Zoning and General plan requirements and guidelines. Although this project represents a solution that clearly
changes the rather non-descript nature of the site on which it is proposed, It is thoughtfully designed and
provides interesting architectural variety with distinct relationship to materials and elements found in our
current downtown core. I believe that once completed, it will become a good neighbor and enhance the
downtown residential component which is so important to the success of a lively, holistic downtown.
