APPROVAL OF COUNCIL COMPENSATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 21, 2018 MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER EWAN, SECOND BY COMMITTEE MEMBER MATHENY, CARRIED 3-0 (COMMITTEE MEMBER GUYTON AND CHAIR STRICKLAND ABSENT) to approve the minutes of the Council Compensation Committee meeting of February 21, 2018. ELECTED OFFICIALS CALPERS INFORMATION & 2017 COMPARISON SURVEY UPDATE Human Resources Director Irons presented the report and responded to Committee inquires. 3. CITY COUNCIL 2016/2017 MEETING TIME CALCULATIONS Interim Deputy City Manager Hermann presented the report and responded to Committee inquiries. 4. CONSIDERATION OF FORMING A RECOMMENDATION TO TAKE TO CITY COUNCIL Interim Deputy City Manager Hermann presented the report and responded to Committee inquiries. ACTION: VICE CHAIR STOKER MADE A MOTION AND COMMITTEE MEMBER EWAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION WAS CARRIED BY A VOTE OF 2-1 (COMMITTEE MEMBER MATHENY VOTING NO AND COMMITTEE MEMBER GUYTON AND CHAIR STRICKLAND ABSENT) to increase the salary for Mayor and Council Member by 10% and to leave all remaining benefits the same. ACTION: COMMITTEE MEMBER MATHENY MADE A MOTION AND COMMITTEE MEMBER EWAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION WAS CARRIED BY A VOTE OF 3 – 0 (WITH COMMITTEE MEMBER GUYTON AND CHAIR STRICKLAND ABSENT) to increase the stipend for Planning Commission and Architectural Review Commission to $70 per meeting not to exceed $280 per month. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 6:18 p.m.
