As a Director on SLOCA's Board, and a parent of two daughters attending the school (one 10th grader and one 8th grader), this issue is important to me. We enjoy the academic environment that San Luis Obispo provides for us and we would like to find a permanent home in the City limits. Unfortunately, current zoning rules make that task near impossible. I would like to ask that you consider allowing schools to locate in as many zones as possible, subject to Planning Commission review. I think that our school brings great value and unique culture to the education industry in our city, as well as an alternative choice for those seeking a dynamic curriculum with a focus on classical education. Our success in creating critical thinkers that can contribute to our society in meaningful ways depends on our ability to have a permanent home in San Luis Obispo. We appreciate any help you can give us in reaching that goal. Thank you for your consideration and support of our community. Sincerely, Hilary Graves SLOCA Director (805)674-1686 1
