Thank you. San Luis Obispo Mayor and Council members: I am asking the council to do two things to correct its Anholm Bikeway error :  Rescind its improper action of February 20, 2018 City Council meeting.  Reaffirm its action of February 6, 2018, the compromise plan. This, in effect, is what the February 6, 2018 Agenda and its resolution would have accomplished, an adoption of the compromise that the City Council worked out at the meeting that night as the City of San Luis Obispo's official position on the Anholm Bikeway. It was passed by a majority vote. The video of the meeting confirms this. In case you did not notice that Anholm residents were not in attendance at the February 20, 2018 Council meeting and did not send emails, it was because we were unaware that you would be reopening the bikeway for discussion again. Council, with input from Transportation, after all, came up with the compromise plan and you voted on it at the February 6th meeting. As you will recall, there were many Anholm residents who sent emails and/or attended the February 6th meeting. This will give the residents, bicyclists and City of SLO time to work together and end up with a safer plan that works for all ages and abilities. Time for problem solving and planning for the impending traffic/circulation/parking effects of the projects at 22 Chorro, 950 Foothill (McDonald's & Blackhorse Coffee site) with its 78 units, and the 71 Palomar's units will result in a much better outcome for the residents of San Luis Obispo, the Anholm neighborhood and cyclists. In the spirit of open, honest and transparent government, thank you. Sincerely, Cheryl McLean Anholm 1
