A question was raised regarding the difference between the original grant allocation of $40,00 0
as part of the 2011-13 FP and the current recommendation for $76,230 . When the project wa s
originally programmed the Grant was not yet approved and th e.funding available was estimate d
at $40,000 : After the Financial Plan was approved the Grant funding was approved at $36,23 0
more than expected, for a total of $76,230 . Now that more grant funding has been allocated tha n
expected the City will need to appropriate that difference .
Therefore, Agenda Item C-8, Recommendation 3, should read the following :
3 . Appropriate an additional $36,230 in Caltrans Transportation Planning gran t
funds and amend the original project budget to $84,751 to include additional gran t
funds and General Fund in-kind matching for the "Bob Jones Trail Octagon Bar n
Connection," Specification No . 91169 .
