Honorable Commissioners:
I appreciate your service to the community as I have also served on a commission in the past and know what attention it
takes . Thank you.
As a long time resident of San Luis Obispo and wish to express my disappointment in the 22 Chorro St. project because
of its mass and scale.
This project has obviously opened the “flood gates” to developers and allowed them to suggest another project at 790
Foothill that is also A massive mess.
I moved here 40 years ago because of the sense of place and views of the surrounding hills. Now it seems our city is
under assault by developers who want to cash‐in ignoring what makes San Luis Obispo unique and throwing up multi‐
storied boxes in the name of “work force housing”.
We all know that this is a hoax. This kind of development will become student housing, especially given its location.
I urge you to “do the right thing” and look at the neighborhood to see what would be appropriate on this site. You have
Guidelines. Please use them and don’t be hood‐winked by this developer.
