Dear Active Transportation Advisory Board,
We are the Laurel Lane Safety Committee.
We are neighborhood residents and business owners.
We are in favor of the road diet, and we are also strongly in favor of all the details to make this a real SAFE street, an
example of how SLO can be safe for not only cars, but also pedestrians, school kids, bicyclists, etc. These details include
school crosswalks at both Augusta/Laurel and Southwood/Laurel, increased lighting at both intersections, bulbouts at both
crosswalks, and protected bikelanes.
