Wildlife corridors connecting habitats are essential for wildlife movement and survival. This corridor has long been recognized as an important link between mountain and riparian habitats. It is used by animals large and small. It is the last linkage between these particular habitats. With development pressures, it could – absent city protective action – disappear altogether, which would fragment the now-connected habitats into non-sustainable “island” habitats. Generous protective measures could maintain this connection in perpetuity. By law, city zoning must be consistent with the General Plan, so protective zoning for this corridor is thus the proper action for the city to take. Please take action and protect what is near and dear to City residents and visitors. Thank you. Sincerely, Mila Vujovich_la Barre Mila Vujovich_La Barre Mila Vujovich_La Barre 1
