On behalf of the members of Associated ry Builders and Contractors Central California Chapter and the workers Tony Castiglione we train, we are strongly opposed to project labor agreements. Life Saver Safety Treasurer PLAs discriminate against 83% of the California construction workforce vrectors: that are non-union. PLAs are schemes that are implemented by labor Linda eliss, unions to ensure that local workers who are not members of a labor enterPrse union are cut out of working on local projects in favor of union labor. Sam Chow Chevron Furthermore, because they discriminate many non-union companies Phil Eng/er will not bid on projects with PLAs. This leads to higher prices for the JTS Modular City and the taxpayers. In fact, many studies have shown that PLAs wam Morrs raise costs on projects by 13-18%.
