HomeMy WebLinkAbout7/16/2018 Item 4, Katz Purrington, Teresa From:Todd Katz <zososlo@gmail.com> Sent:Saturday, July To:CityClerk Cc:Allan Cooper Subject:1135 Santa Rosa St. Dear Architectural Review Committee Chairperson and Members: I am not a member of Save Our Downtown or an architect or a builder — just a resident. However I’m very much in agreement with Jamie Lopes and Allan Cooper in regard to the over-use of “renegade” colors — dark or otherwise -- on new buildings, including 1135 Santa Rosa St. As an example of why codes and standards are important, even in the short-term, please see, attaching a picture from Google Maps of The Mix at 1308 Monterey … a close look at the building (esp. the back) shows all kinds of signs of aging and fading … it’s not even 8 years old!! San Luis Obispo is a desirable place to do business … hold builders and designers to high standards … they will follow them or other, better builders will come. 1 Thank you for taking this comment into consideration. Sincerely, Todd Katz PS: I would appreciate it if the Clerk would forward this letter also to the Mayor and City Council members. 2
