Re. Continued review of project slated for 790 Foothill Blvd. (Also regarding 22 Chorro Street)
As a resident of the Foothill area, living at the base of Bishop off Jeffrey Drive, I'm absolutely astounded that you are seriously considering
allowing construction of this monstrosity at 790 Foothill Blvd!
If one simply takes a few minutes to walk and visually survey the neighborhood surrounding the new 22 Chorro development along Foothill
Blvd, which is still under construction, it is stupidly obvious that the members of the Architectural Review Commission are either hostile or
mentally and aesthetically oblivious to the vistas and long-established character of our neighborhood. You are degrading the Santa Rosa
and Foothill neighborhood to the quality of a strip mall, anywhere America.
In this letter I'm not even addressing the new and still impending population density dangers the Architectural Review Commission has
already authorized and created in our neighborhood.
At this point I quite seriously believe we as neighbors need to consider a crowd-funded bronze plaque set on private property,
memorializing in perpetuity the names of all the specific individuals -- city council members, developers, San Luis Obispo Architectural
Review Commission members and others -- who have voted in favor to permanently degrade our neighborhood.
