Dear Mayor Harmon & Councilmembers,
I hope the San Luis Ranch project continues to move forward. I have lived in SLO for 20 years. My husband and I are both
self employed in marketing and tech, making a reasonable living. The dream of owning a home in SLO feels like it is
slipping away. Inventory is so low while affordability keeps stretching farther. We bought a condo in 2005 in SLO for
$350K and had to short sell it in 2010 for $170K. I feel like we have never recovered. We have been renting and our
landlord is raising our rent $300 a month. Rent will just continue to rise. I feel if prices were adjusted to reflect the actual
market, we would be able to buy. Please continue to move the ranch project forward. SLO needs more housing!
