Dear Members af the San Luis Obispo City Council,
We are sorry that our schedules do not permit us to attend taday's Council meeting in person, but
we hope this letter can serve to convey our support for the San Luis Ranch project.
We fit the prole of the target market for the San Luis Ranch project in many ways, and would.
like to convey how important this project is to us. We have lived in the North County for almost
20 years, regularly cammuting over the Grade for school, work, shopping, and church. Our
daughter has graduated from high school in the North County and will be starting at Cal Poly in
the fall, and our son attends school in SLO as well, so we find our entire lives centered in San
Luis Obispo. We would greatly prefer to live in close proximity to our activities, to reduce our
carbon footprint, reduce travel times, and contribute less to the traffic flow in our area.
The San Luis Ranch project is an ideal concept for us. We envision ourselves and our family
capitalizing on the agricultural and open space, and keeping our car in the garage to use bicycles,
. instead, to get to school, work, and church. We are also looking forward to building relationships
and a sense of community among our neighbors to invest in the city and surrounding area.
We are so invested in this project that we made the decision last spring to sell our home in the
North County, and we are now renting a home in Morro Bay, so that we are ready to purchase a
home in the San Luis Ranch project as soon as one is ready. We are `all in', and we hope that
Tuesday night's vote of the City Council reflects that you are, too.
Thank you for the opportunity to speak on behalf of this project, and thank you for your
commitment to increasing opportunities for housing in San Luis Obispo.
Respectfully,
