Dear Mayor Harmon & Councilmembers,
I grew up on the Central Coast and left the area in the late 80's. I took for granted all the beauty and uniqueness the
area has to offer. And after living in the other states, I realized there is no place quite like here.
I have returned home after an extended stay and am elated to be able to live here again.
However, it is disheartening that the possibility of owning a home may not be possible due to the outrageous prices.
Why should the locals be forced to rent and pay ridiculous prices just to have their hard earned money go towards
someone else's property.
I came home with dreams of becoming part of my community by starting a small business, owing a home and giving
back in ways to help it flourish.
But when the local workers have to commute due to the prices of rent and non affordable housing, this should be
unacceptable. I want to grow old here and see my grandchildren enjoy all the beauty and wonders this area has to offer
just as I did when I was growing up.
Thank you for taking into consideration the needs of our community.
