Agency representatives attend to provide input on funding priorities November 2018 November 13th – Cit y Council approves CDBG and GIA funding priorities. December 2018 December 1st – GIA applications available online January 2019 Applications due January 31st by 5:00pm. February 2019 February 6th – HRC assigns subcommittee to review GIA applications March 2019 GIA Subcommittee meets to review applications and develop preliminary recommendations Fall 2018 CDBG Applications available. October 2018 October 3th – HRC conducts Community Needs Workshop. Agency representatives attend to provide input on funding priorities End of Fall Applications Due. November 2018 November 13th – City Council approves CDBG and GIA funding recommendations. Staff reviews applications in late November. December 2018 December 5th – HRC Reviews and votes on CDBG Funding recommendations January 2019 County Publishes Draft Action Plan – 30 day review (CDBG) March/April 2019 Early March – Council hearing/adoption of CDBG Funding Recommendations County Board of Supervisors Approves 2019 Action Plan September 2018 September 1st – NMG Applications Available September 13th – Grant information meeting October 2018 Staff meets with applicants as needed November 2018 November 7th - Staff makes progress report to HRC on previous FY 2017-18 NMG projects (3 total) November 16th – NMG applications due December 2018/January 2019 Staff reviews and evaluates applications February 2019 February 6th - Staff makes funding recommendations to HRC for approval March 2019 Contracts are finalized with grantees and work begins 2019-20 Grant Timelines - DRAFT Human Relations Commission Meeting Date: August 1, 2018 Item: 2 Packet Page 5 Grants-in-Aid (GIA) Continued Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Continued Neighborhood Matching Grants (NMG) Continued April 2019  April 3rd - HRC reviews GIA Subcommittee recommendations and adopts preliminary GIA recommendations  Mid April – Email sent to GIA applicants noting preliminary recommendations and inviting them to attend the public hearing at the May 1st HRC meeting. May 2019  May 1st – HRC public hearing. HRC adopts final GIA recommendations July 2019  First Council meeting in July – City Council adopts final GIA recommendations  Mid July – GIA contracts emailed to grant recipients. GIA contracts are due late July. August 2019  Funds released to grant recipients  GIA Liaisons selected.
