Dear Ms. Purrington
I could not find how to email the ARC about an agenda item for the August 6, 2018 meeting. How can I get the following
information to the ARC in time for August 6, 2018 meting? Thank you for your assistance.
ARC Members:
I am writing to strongly oppose the proposed development located at 950 Orcutt Road. The development is too large
for the area and will greatly impact vehicle traffic and railroad traffic in that location. The proposal is so overbuilt for the
area it will be unsightly and very dense for the property. It will truly be an eyesore for arriving and departing railroad
passengers, as well as pedestrians, bicycle riders, and vehicles occupants using the area.
This appears to be a development proposed by a developer who has not considered what is in the best interest of our
city and residents. Very often these types of developments are not considerate of the impact development has for our
city and only look for ways to maximize income at the expense of those of us who live and love San Luis Obispo.
I hope there is a way that the ARC can address the density and unsightliness of this development and scale it down to be
appropriate and workable for the location.
