The height of a tiny home would well exceed the height of my backyard fence. It would be an eyesore (building heights matter for a cohesive neighborhood look and for privacy). The best part of my house is my backyard. It's kinda small, but it's the place I love spending time in when I have a day off. Having a neighbor's loft overlooking my backyard, isn't what I envisioned when I purchased my home. Also, as an avid bike rider, I don't agree that the masses will be turning to bikes for transportation any time soon. After many years of cycling down LOVR and turning onto Oceanaire, I recently changed things up so that I would avoid riding LOVR. The reason? A noticeable increase in vehicle traffic on LOVR makes getting to the left turn lane (on to Oceanaire), difficult and that makes me feel unsafe. More people = more cars. That's the sad truth. The vision of building-out SLO is just one big experiment that will forever change, for the worse, our wonderful city. Lisa Ganaja 1
