Tree Committee Members:
At your June 26, 2017 meeting, you voted, 4‐1‐2, to allow Rob Rossi to remove a tree at 1035 Monterey, near the
Fremont Theater. The decision instructed Rossi to replace the tree he removed with a 36" box tree within 45 days (the
wording was "required one 36" box tree").
Well, it's now 14 months later and, as you can see from the picture I've attached (I took it yesterday), there's no tree
where he removed the previous one.
Hastily at the end of last month's meeting, I asked committee members to take a look at the lack of a replacement tree
at 1035 Monterey; I don't know if anyone did, but here's the proof that Mr. Rossi did not do as he was instructed to do.
Seems like, if the committee is going to allow for the removal of healthy, mature trees, the least the citizens can expect
is for the applicant to do what he was instructed to do.
Else, what's the point of making orders?
