Subject:Anholm Bike Tract changes to existing residential street
To all Council members
Though I do not live in the Anholm neighborhood, I strongly recommend you abandon the grand redesign
of this historic and well designed neighborhood. A couple of speed bumps in appropriate placement would
go a long way to mitigate your stated mission of slowing everyone, including bicyclists down. Oh, wait,
nothing applies to bicyclists. Only autos. No fair treatment here.
It is amazing to us residents that such drastic changes to our city continue to be pushed forward with little
to no regard for the residents desires. This plan is an incredible example of the continued selfish
reasoning the members of the Council and Mayor put forward to explain why this and other "plans" for
City property such as open space to be controverted to improper uses against the will of the neighbors or
the other residents of our fair city. Ditto the thousands of homes which "must be built" to accommodate
new residents despite limited resources such as water.
Why a lobby group has more sway than say the Planning Commission recommendations and dozens of
residents seems to me to be yet another direct disrespect for local voting registered residents.
Please stand up for the PEOPLE WHO LIVE HERE!!!!!!
