Subject:Anholm District roadways
I am unable to attend Tuesday evening's hearing. Please consider my opinions below.
I live on Chorro and appreciate the community feel of this area. I moved here about a year ago. I see walkers, bikers,
dog walkers and automobiles going by my house all day. When I am in the front yard, most people slow down and/or
stop to say "hi". The roads are not very wide and I believe that more vehicles on these two-way roads will present a
safety issue. Making this neighborhood a shortcut from Foothilll to downtown is not the right soution and can be
harmful to residents and pedestrians as well as to auto drivers. Santa Rosa Street (Hiway 1) is wider, has traffic control
stop-lights and is a safer way to drive fom Foothill to downtown. Have you considered making Chorro and Broad one-
way streets? I believe this will be much safer for all travelers. Thank you.
