Hello,
I’m forwarding a public comment letter from Ken Kienow (ATC committee member) who cannot attend tonight’s
meeting. He wanted this entered as part of the record.

Yes please. Here it is:

Regarding the proposed Bob Jones extension from Prefumo Creek to Oceanaire: that path really only serves a small part
of the community, and only gets them to Target etc. (the big box stores). It is not a terribly connective proposed
stretch. Not a ton of users will benefit from construction of that segment.
If possible, that money should be used instead for a path that parallels S. Higuera and gets all people on S. Higuera
(including Avila Ranch residents) to downtown. That would be WAY more utilized and a far better use of money, in my
opinion. Please see page A-77 in the Bicycle Transportation Plan to view what I'm talking about. On page A-77, there
are two green segments to be seen. The western one, the shorter one, is the Prefumo Creek to Oceanaire extension
that I do not think should be prioritized or funded.. The east segment, the longer one, is the route I'm referring to that
should be prioritized instead.
Thank you,
