At the request of Chairperson Swem minutes will be made available to board members prior to each meeting. Correspondence from James Buttery was submitted as agenda packet material for board consideration. -Leigh Willard gave the board a note for their consideration regarding fair and reasonable return. City Attorney updated the Board on their Ordinance review at the last meeting of the MHRRB including: Subsection 010: 0*X. 020: add language (to be submitted by City Attorney) 030: no change 040: no change 050: clarify section B to include the authority to hold hearings 060: a fixed time for CPI evaluation 070: identified as needing special emphasis application addressed/procedures and process information from owner 080: O.K. 090: identified as needing special emphasis dovetail into rate of return 100: no change 110: no change 120: no change 130: no change 140: no change BOARD COMMENTS: Chairperson Swem asked Roger Picquet to draft language regarding 050 Susection B Staff asked to contact Bureau of Labor and Statistics regarding how they average the CPI. Steve Henderson will do this. MHRRB 2-7-85 MINUTES PAGE TWO Board member Wheeler stated his concern over the 8% figure. 140: comments by Mr. Buttery and Mr. Zolkowski no changes 070: Board member Swem concerned over $300.00 application fee Considerable discussion regarding application fee and structure On a motion by Chairperson Swem and seconded by Mr. Wheeler, the MHRRB passed unanimously calling for a fee of $125.00 plus $1.00 per space. Asked that this recommendation be passed on to the City Council. The next meeting of the Rent Review Board was set for Wednesday, February 20, 1985 in the City Council Chambers beginning at 9:00am. Meeting was adjourned at 12noon.
