CALL TO ORDER: Chair Papp
ROLL CALL: Committee Members Sandy Baer, Craig Kincaid, Damon Haydu, Glen
Matteson, Thom Brajkovich, Vice-Chair Shannon Larrabee, and Chair
James Papp.
PUBLIC COMMENT: At this time, people may address the Committee on items not on the
agenda. Items raised are generally referred to staff and, if action by the Committee is necessary,
may be scheduled for a future meeting.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
1. Minutes of the Cultural Heritage Committee meetings of May 21, 2018 and September 24, 2018.
PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS
NOTE: The action of the CHC is a recommendation to the Community Development Director,
another advisory body, or City Council and, therefore, is not final and cannot be appealed.
2. 1160 Leff Street. Relocation of an existing dwelling within a residential lot; addition and
rehabilitation of the dwelling, and construction of two new dwellings, on property included in
the City’s Contributing Properties List of Historic Resources; Case #: ARCH-1847-2018,
R-3 Zone; SLO Martin Properties, LLC, applicant. (Walter Oetzell)
PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION
3. Mission Plaza Restroom Replacements and Enhancements. A discussion to identify
project considerations, constraints and desired outcome for the Mission Plaza Restroom, Café
and Murray Adobe improvements (Richard Burde)

TRAINING
4. Committee training to fulfill Certified Local Government (CLG) requirements. Topic and
training personnel, to be determined. Participation to fulfill CLG requirement is mandatory for
Committee members, unless substitute qualifying training can be completed.

The next Regular Cultural Heritage Committee Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 26,
2018 at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Hearing Room, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, California.
