PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: At this time, the general public is invited to speak before the
Human Relations Commission on any subject within the jurisdiction of the Human Relations
Commission that does not appear on this agenda. Although the Commission will not take action
on any item presented during the Public Comment Period, the Chair may direct staff to place an
item on a future agenda for formal discussion.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
1. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Human Relations Commission of October 3, 2018
(Community Needs Workshop).
BUSINESS ITEMS
2. Review of 2017-2018 Grants-in-Aid (GIA) Year End Reports – VERESCHAGIN
General HRC Discussion to review the 2017-18 GIA Year End Reports. Due to changeover
in Commissioners from this grant cycle, the Year End Reports are being circulated for general
review. No specific Commissioner presentations are required.
3. 2019-2020 Grants-in-Aid (GIA) Draft Application Language – VERESCHAGIN
Review draft application for the upcoming grant cycle year and make revisions if necessary.

4. Advisory Body Goal Setting – VERESCHAGIN
Review and evaluate status of 2017-2019 Human Relations Commission’s goals and identify
Commission goals and supplemental work program items for the 2019-2021 Financial Plan
and Budget.

ADJOURNMENT
The next Regular Human Relations Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December
5, 2018 at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Hearing Room, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, California.
APPEALS: Administrative decisions by the Human Relations Commission may be appealed to
the City Council in accordance with the appeal procedure set forth in Chapter 1.20 of the San
Luis Obispo Municipal Code.
