Item No. 1 Project on the corner of Chorro and Marsh
Dear Cultural Heritage Committee members I am again asking you to look at the height, setback, parking and density of
another new project. This project is too large, so setbacks, too tall and where are the tenants going to park even their electric
cars when they have them. The proposed project on the corner of Chorro and Marsh is again challenging the very history and
ambience that I want your committee to preserve in downtown SLO. I believe all of you have walked and driven through the
downtown of SLO and have noticed how when you look up you cannot see the old landscape that made and continues to make,
although greatly reduced, SLO a beautiful little city. Every decision you make should take into consideration not only the fine
points of the architectural style but how it contributes to the historical threads that are woven through are city. Building are
forever and I love looking at the building you have been able to preserve and I want to new buildings to complement
them. Thank you for your service to the City of SLO.
