SUBJECT: Council Agenda Correspondence – November 27, 2018 Item #3
Item 3 on the City Council’s November 27, 2018 agenda is a final map for the San Luis Ranch
Tract 3096 project. The draft Resolution includes several actions associated with the recordation
of the final map. Section 3 of the resolution addresses certain offers of dedication which are needed
for future Southbound Highway 101 on and off ramps for the proposed Prado Road Interchange.
It is recommended that this section be modified, as set forth below, to more clearly address the
requirement that the developer be responsible for the removal of the two billboards that are located
within the future right of way.
Proposed revision:
SECTION 3. The Mayor is authorized to accept fee offers and slope easements for
the Prado/Highway 101 interchange when such property is determined to be
needed. The fee offers and slope easements shall be in a form acceptable to the
Public Works Director, Community Development Director, and City Attorney. Said
offers shall provide a mechanism for the removal of the billboards on Tract 3096
which shall be at developer’s sole expense and liability. The final map shall not be
recorded without such offers of dedication being first approved by the Public Works
Director, Community Development Director, and City Attorney.
