Subject:790 Foothill - Please accept the appeal
Dear Mayor Harmon and City Council Members,
Please accept the appeal filed for the proposed development at 790 Foothill, at the corner of
Foothill and North Chorro.
Please direct the developer to reduce the size of the project, address traffic and parking
concerns, and protect views of Bishop Peak. Currently, the proposed buildings are four stories
high, cover 90% of the property and go virtually curb to curb.
A major factor for me is that this is already one of the most dangerous and impacted
intersections in the city. As a resident that lives in the Foothill area, I am also concerned about
this gargantuan development and its impact of the safety of residents. The fire station on North
Chorro already has to contend with traffic at this location. I see the addition of pedestrian, bike
and car traffic from this planned development as problematic.
The density of this project is not consistent with neighborhood character. Please do not obscure
more views of our foothills that residents cherish.
Thank you for your consideration.
