Dear Tree Committee Members,
I have just been informed that the owner of 152 Broad has applied to remove a large beautiful redwood tree from his
property. I urge you to deny this request. Redwood trees are amazingly useful in fighting pollution. I personally give my
financial support to groups who plant such trees in order to help the planet. When we are fortunate enough to have
one as large and beautiful as this one, we must make sure that it will not be cut down.
This particular owner committed more than one crime in the past when he cut down trees without any
authorization. He was given a small fine, much too small considering the number and size of the trees he had cut down
without any authorization. I therefore hope you make sure that this beautiful tree is permanently protected, as it
should be, and this owner is given a serious warning that will deter him from thumbing his nose at the decision you
take. Thank you.
