Re: Acceptance of Discipline: Officer R. Griffith
Dear Chief Linden:
On behalf of Officer Russell Griffith, I write to advise that he accepts in full the
recommended discipline contained in the Notice of Intent to Administer Disciplinary Action
issued on August 25, 2009. In order to minimize the inconvenience to the Department, Officer
Griffith respectfully requests that the discipline be served prior to his return from injury leave.
As you are aware, Officer Griffith has accepted frill responsibility for his actions, remains
humbled by his actions, and also solid in his commitment that there will be no recurrence. As a
result, has chosen not to challenge the proposed action but, rather, to exercise his opportunity to
respond simply by thanking the Department for its consideration of the mitigating factors in
selecting the level of discipline.
Very truly yours,
Berry Wilkinson I Law Group
