If I'm reading the proposed changes by the city related to tree codes (included in this month's packet), it appears that
the city is attempting to give less and less oversight and control to the Tree Committee and more and more
oversight/control to bodies like the Planning Commission and the City Council.
If that is, in fact, the case, I cannot support such a trend.
The people on the Planning Commission and the City Council have nowhere near the expertise regarding trees that the
TC members have.
