ROLL CALL: Committee Members Thom Brajkovich, Eva Fina, Damon Haydu,
Glen Matteson, Vice-Chair Shannon Larrabee, and Chair James Papp.
ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR
PUBLIC COMMENT: At this time, people may address the Committee on items not on the
agenda. Items raised are generally referred to staff and, if action by the Committee is necessary,
may be scheduled for a future meeting.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
1. Approve minutes of the March 25, 2019 Cultural Heritage Committee meeting.
PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS
NOTE: The action of the CHC is a recommendation to the Community Development Director,
another advisory body, or City Council and, therefore, is not final and cannot be appealed.
2. Review of Sign Program for the Hotel Cerro Project in the Downtown Historic District;
Project Address: 1119 and 1125 Garden Street. Case #: ARCH-0152-2019, C-D-H zone;
Arris Studio Architects, applicant. (Oetzell)
Recommendation:
Make a determination of the proposed sign program’s consistency with the Historic
Preservation Ordinance and forward a recommendation to the Community Development
Director.

ADJOURNMENT
The next Meeting of the Cultural Heritage Committee will be a Rescheduled Regular Meeting on
Monday, May 20, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo,
California. The Regular Cultural Heritage Committee Meeting for Monday, May 27, 2019 has
been cancelled.
The City of San Luis Obispo wishes to make all of its public meetings accessible to the
