Subject:ARC and Planning Commission / French Hospital Expansion Project
Dear Members,
My husband and I have found our perfect retirement home at the condominiums adjacent to the west
side of French Hospital. We love it here.
We acknowledge what a privilege it is live steps away from a great hospital. We endured the noise,
dust and disruption during the building of the Educational Pavilion. It is now a lovely community
asset.
The most recent proposal for the hospital expansion is a different matter. Please don't allow the
construction of a multistory parking garage with a heliport on top just a stone throw from my living
room. I have a history of asthma, so many cars so near by would be detrimental to my health.
There are better spots for a parking garage and the hospital already operates electric shuttles from
the parking areas to the hospital doors. Tell them "no!"
Please notify us when this project is being discussed by our community government.
