Subject:May 7th meeting, agenda item #15 - Tank Farm Rd. & Broad St. project
Dear Council Members,
I have just heard about this project for the first time within the last day, leaving little time to gather information and
comment in a more complete manner. This appears to be a large project with far reaching consequences, that is moving
extremely fast toward approval with little input from the community. It will involve a large property, multiple uses and
impacts, and is in close proximity to very busy routes and intersections in the area. It requires a creek set back
exemption, a general plan amendment and an airport area specific amendment, all without an EIR. Its impact on traffic
and circulation will be significant, especially when added to the 3 other developments already approved at the south
end of town that will over-burden our existing infrastructure and roads. Gridlock seems likely. I would propose a delay
in the approval of the resolution and to the ordinance until more is known and discussed about this significant project.
Respectfully,
Pamela Krahl
