Subject: Support for SLO Bike Park
Hi guys, unfortunately now that I have twin toddlers, I can't attend city meetings. That said, my girls (and I) frequent the Morro Bay Bike park A LOT and adding a
bike park supported by the community would be something absolutely amazing to put in SLO's tourist and quality of living cap.
I take MY bike and ride with them. There's so few things I could do with them from 18 months until about now, and the little guys were hitting the bike park on
Strider Bikes and would like me take a break to ride, too. It was one of the few things we could truly do together and continue to.
Moreover, it gets kids more and more motivated to use bikes - which can help build confidence in city spaces and reduce use of vehicles. As well as creates
future stewards of our already stellar trails.
Not to mention - its an activity that's got a really low barrier to entry. You don't need a good bike to have fun, much like skating. Wonderful for those who don't
usually get exposure to things like mountain biking because of access to funds or simply awareness.
Thanks for the read,
