I am writing in proxest of the proposed PB1D by the Downtown 5L0 A�sociation.
As a property owner in this district, my opposition is based on the following r�asons:
As the owner afi a re�idential home in this assessment area,we see abs�lutely no adv�ntage t� being
part of this district. We rent this hame out full time and aur tenant will not benefit at all from anything
fihat you are praposing.
The City Council is always pramoting work farce housing lnrithin the city, Putting an additi�aroal
assessment on this property�s only going to increase the amaunt of r�ent that we need to charge th�
tenant. As an aider home in the area, it is a constant struggle for us to keep up repairs and maintenance
on this hous�e. If you would like to be a contributing factor in making older homes an eyes�re,y�u are
certainly managing t�o do �t by assessing this home additional fees. Your proposed plan will not do
anything ta benefit aur residence and will cause us to put off needed repairs on the house.
We encourage you to please think again before putting any residenc�s into this dis#rict. You �a�ve
already drawn the lines to bgnefit some people,so it definitely would not be out of line to exe►�pt�il
residences from this district.
Please consider thoughtfully as I and numerous other property owners in th� Downtovvn core stroa�giy

tax, hotel bed tax,and increased property values. The City's cleanliness an Dawntov+rn and oth�r
commercial districts in the city should be paid far with the current tax dollars in th�generai fund. 1 .
encourage you to delay the acceptanGe of this resolution until you consider other options that�io nat
divide aur downtawn community,the City,and numerous small property owners. Please take sc�rne
time,foc�as on uniting our community, and recognize that small businesses are the backbon�of��r
vibrant ec�or�amy and should not be ign�red.
