Subject:Broad St/Tank Farm Project
To: Mayor Harmon, and council members
I want to discuss the Broad St/Tank Farm project. I attended the May 6th meeting and spoke in public comment.
I expressed concern about the timeline for public comment and how it ended the day before you were planning
on approving the project. The council decided to continue the item until July 16th. We have reviewed the
changes that you made to the IS-MND and they do not meet our expectations to resolve the apparent disregard
for an EIR. In addition, we were not notified that the IS-MND had been recirculated. It appears to us that the
staff is not forthcoming with information and is keeping the public in the dark.
We are concerned with traffic congestion, noise, air quality and all the exception and amendments needed to
approve this project. We believe this is not a good location for seniors.
We agree with Mark Wolf's letter and his assessment of CEQA.
Thank You, Kathy Borland
