When I drive by new developments going up, I always look for solar panels on rooftops. Yes, I am always taken aback at how few people have installed 1 rooftop solar, and it is a real concern that SLO has not mandated rooftop solar for new construction, and that the city has not installed panels for its own use. It seems to me this is a logical first step in any mandated movement toward an all-electric city. As members of our local community and as citizens of the world, we are obliged to hand over a world to our children that is better than the one we inherited. On the energy side of things, we will not do that unless we all individually and collectively take action now to reduce use of fossil fuels. Brandon Jones (805) 550-1806 188 San Jose Court 2
