Subject:Support the proposed reach codes
Re: The proposed reach codes
My wife and I recently installed solar panels on our house and replaced a gas stove
with an electric one in an effort to be "greener" and use less fossil fuel and pollute
less. We support the proposed reach codes but with what could be considered a "pro-
choice" approach. Buyers of the new homes could be given a choice with incentives for
choosing a less polluting model. Another choice within that could be to have the house
wired and/or plumbed for both varieties of appliances, water heaters, furnaces, etc. That
choice would allow for possible changes in the future for all possible buyers, either new or
subsequent.
This approach could also be used in the various service districts/areas of the county.
I know that we would favor and appreciate such choices if we were in the new house
market.
We will appreciate consideration being given to our comments of concern.
Sincerely and earnestly,
Thom and Diane Danfield
