First I want to thank you for your service to our community and the work you are doing to make it a better place for
everyone.
Reading through the agenda packet for 9/4/2019, I note that a bicycle pump/dirt track is proposed as one of the Laguna
Lake Park improvements. This would be an amazing improvement to the Laguna neighborhood and create a great new
recreation opportunity to that side of town. However, there is a need for this kind of attraction at Sinsheimer Park as
well. Sinsheimer has an abundance of space and is located directly adjacent to the Rail Road Safety Trail. SLO High
School, Sinsheimer Elementary and Hawthorne Students are all within safe cycling distance to Sinsheimer Park. Giving
children a safe place to play and practice their bicycle riding skills will lead to adults that aren't afraid to try alternative
forms of transportation. This, in turn, will help our city reach it's climate action and mode share goals. I urge you to
amend your documents to include bicycle pump/dirt tracks at Laguna Lake Park AND Sinsheimer Park.
Thank you,
Tim Wilkinson
